August 31, 2014 – This will be our last week of Godly Play Story time for the younger children ages 3 to 7. Today’s story is The Story of Samual. This story focuses on Samuel, the prophet, priest and judge.
On Saturday September 6, there will be a teacher training from 9:30 – 11:30 am for those new to teaching Godly Play and for those who wish to have a refresher. There will also be a teacher training from 11:30 – 1 pm for those teaching our new 4th and 5th grade curriculum Weaving God’s Promises. Please plan on attending. A sign-up sheet is on the table in the Gallery.
Saturday, September 13 th there will be a Safeguarding God’s Children training from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm here at St. Paul’s for all new to teaching or working with children this year. This is a requirement to work with our children and youth.
August 24, 2014 – This week the children will hear the story of Ruth. Ruth, the great-grandmother of David, worked hard, loved God and God’s people. Mary Anthony is our storyteller today. The Parent/Teacher Meeting is following our 10 am service today. Please make every effort to attend. Rally Sunday and Church School Registration will be Sunday, September 7.
August 17, 2014 – This week the children will hear the story of Joseph. Joseph was a leader, a dreamer and an interpreter of dreams. Reminder that our Parent Meeting is next Sunday, August 24th following the 10:00 am service. Rally Sunday and Church School Registration will be Sunday, September 7th. Sunday School will start September 14. Youth Group will begin September 10.
August 10, 2014 – Today our lessons are 1 Kings 19:9-18, Psalm 85:8-13, Romans 10:5-15, and the gospel is Matthew 14:22-33. Remember to mark you calendars for the Parent Meeting August 24th following the 10 am service. August 3, 2014 – Today our lessons from the Lectionary are Isaiah 55:1-5, Psalm 145:8-9,15-22, Romans 9:1-5, and the gospel is Matthew 14:13-21. This week the children will hear the Story of Sarah. Mary Anthony will be our Storyteller this week. Reminder to mark your calendars for the upcoming Parent Meeting August 24th following our 10 am service.
July 27, 2014 – Please mark your calendars now for our upcoming Parent Meeting next month on Sunday, August 24th following our 10 am service. This meeting will be to discuss the upcoming school year, teacher sign up, discuss Youth Group activities, and to discuss Vacation Bible School for next year.
July 20, 2014 – During the summer there will be a Godly Play Story time for the younger children ages 3 to 7 or grades Pre-k through 2nd. Older children ages 8 and above will attend church with their parents. Four youth Nicholas Coyle, Dylan Powell, Juliana Powell and Hannah Rucinski and Mary Anthony returned from Philadelphia at EYE (Episcopal Youth Event) and then three days at the University of Pennsylvania for mission work. Stop and talk with them and ask them about their experience.
July 6, 2014 – Four youth, Nicholas Coyle, Dylan Powell, Juliana Powell, and Hannah Rucinski with Mary Anthony will be heading to Philadelphia for a four day conference.  Sunday morning July 13th they are off to the University of Pennsylvania where they will do mission work in the area.  Please keep them in your prayers.
June 29, 2014 – During the summer their will be a Godly Play Story time for the younger children ages 3 to 7 or grades Pre-K – 2nd. Older children will attend church with their parents. Our mission trip to Franklin, PA was a huge success. Mustard Seed Ministries found many jobs for us including rebuilding a deck, insulating and dry-walling a top floor of an older home, building ramps and restoring rooms of an abandoned old mansion.
June 15, 2014 – Now that Sunday School is over for the summer, there will be a Godly Play storytime for the younger children ages 3 to 7 or grades Pre-K – 2nd. Older children ages 8 and up will attend church with their parents. Regular Wednesday evening Youth Group is on hiatus for the summer. Youth group heads out to Frankin, PA. for their mission trip.
June 8, 2014 – In our Godly Play class today our children will hear the story of The Mystery of Pentecost. This week is the last official Wednesday evening Youth Group meeting. Our youth will head out next Sunday morning, June 15th for their mission trip to Franklin, PA.
June 1, 2014 – In our Godly Play class today our children will hear the story of the Synagogue and the Upper Room. Our youth are holding their Car Wash Fundraiser today, June 1st from 8:00 – 10:oo am and at 11:30 – 1 pm. This is the last fundraiser for the mission trip. Suggested donation is $10. Tell your friends and neighbors!
May 11, 2014 – There is no Godly Play today as our children will be in church for our last Children’s Service of this school year. They will participate by ushering, reading the Lessons,  and singing during the Offertory. Our youth are holding an all day Scrapbooking CROP fundraiser next Saturday, May 17th from 9 am to 9 pm. Please support our youth. The vendor’s and the total registration fees will go directly toward this year’s mission trip and for the youth attending EYE in July.
May 4, 2014 – In our Godly Play class today our children with hear the story of “Jesus and The Twelve.” This lesson builds on the presentations about The Last Supper.  The youth Homeless Awareness weekend was a huge success. $417.17 was collected for OPERATION: Homes, an organization in Medina county that helps the homeless get back on their feet. Mark your calendars for the Easter Egg Hunt May 18th.
April 27, 2014- In Godly Play class today, children will hear one of the Easter Enrichment Stories of either The Crosses or The Easter Eggs.  Our Youth are finishing up their Homeless Awareness Sleep-out today. They will be performing during the 10:00 am service and would love to talk with you about their experience over the weekend.
April 20, 2014 – There is no Sunday School today. Families will attend the Festival Choral Easter Eucharist together. The last Children’s Service of this school year will be on Mother’s Day, May 11th at 10 am. The Easter Egg Hunt is May 18th. Donations of Easter candy to stuff the eggs are appreciated. Leave them outside Mary Anthony’s office.
April 13, 2014- In our Godly Play Class, the children will hear the stories of The Faces of Easter 4 and 5. This week the youth group lessons are Matthew 21:1-11, Psalm 118:1-2, 19-29.
The youth are busy planning for their Annual Homeless Awareness Sleep-out. The Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for May 18.
April 6, 2014-In Godly Play Class the children will hear the story of the Faces of Easter 3. This week the youth group lesson focuses on Jesus Baptism and Blessing.
