In addition to the Annual Operating Fund and the Searles Endowment, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church maintains several special-purpose funds for a variety of ministries. Gifts may be made directly to any of them to help with those programs:

The Youth Treasury Fund

The Youth Treasury provides financial support for the activities, primarily mission outreach trips, of St. Paul’s Parish’s Episcopal Youth Club (“EYC”). In recent years our EYC has made trips to New York, Washington, DC, the Mississippi/Louisiana Gulf Coast (to assist with clean up from Katrina), and Dungannon, West Virginia. This year (2010) a trip is planned to aid a Habitat for Humanity project in Franklin, Pennsylvania.

The Ministry of Music Fund

The Ministry of Music Fund is maintained to provide financial support for special musical performances both at worship and in non-worship settings. The Fund pays the expenses of, and receives donations made at, our monthly Brown Bag Concerts, a series of free recitals offered to the public at lunch time, September through November and February through May. This Fund also receives gifts in support of the St. Paul’s Brass, an occasional ensemble which plays at our Christmas Eve and Easter services, the annual Medina County Ecumenical Red Mass, and other special occasions.

The Columbarium Fund

The Columbarium Fund is a perpetual care endowment established for the maintenance and beautification of the Columbarium and Memory Garden. Contributions are received from the families of those interred there. Others may also make donations to the Columbarium Fund.

The Memorial Fund

The Memorial Fund is set apart by the Vestry for deposit of monetary gifts to the parish in memory of those who have entered larger life in God’s Presence. This is an undesignated fund used by the Vestry from time to time for extra-budget expenses. In recent years, the Memorial Fund has provide the monies for improvements in the worship space, a safety railing for the walkway from our parking lot to our side entryway, and for new carpeting in the Parish Hall.

The Building Fund

The Building Fund, also called the St. Paul Fund, is maintained for major building improvements. It will be the nucleus of any capital campaign the parish undertakes.

If you would like to make a gift to any of these special-purpose funds of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, please have contact the Rector at 330.725.4131.
