The Battered Women’s Shelter of Summit and Medina Counties is for families affected by violence – women, men, and children who are in danger of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. The shelter provides emergency services and supportive services to victims seeking to end family violence. Unlike other agencies that assist victims of all types of crime, BWS is the only agency in Summit/Medina county that focuses exclusively on family violence, intervention, and prevention.
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church supports BWS with a regular monthly in-gathering of supplies needed at the shelter. Our liaison with BWS is Susan Bunner. For information about the shelter, leave a message for her at the Church Office at 330.725.4131 or visit the BWS website.
