Today’s Gospel reading seems to be all about power. There’s an obvious power struggle between Pilate and Jesus, and there’s the background power struggle between Pilate and the Jewish leaders. And there’s an overall power struggle between the Jewish people and Rome. Lots of power being thrown around, and it’s hard to tell who’s actually going to win in the end.
